Job summary

Sureserve Compliance South in London & the South East is seeking an experienced trades professional to deliver heating and related services in social housing. You will assess risk, identify materials, and log work with our IT systems while maintaining a customer-focused approach.

You will drive a company van, manage stock, and be ready for flexible hours to meet client needs. Benefits include pension, life assurance, and generous annual leave.

Qualifications

• Level 2 plumbing qualification or equivalent.
• Full UK Driving Licence (6 points or less).
• Experience within Social Housing desirable, but not essential.
• Experience delivering high levels of customer service.
• The ability to work with a diverse customer base.

Responsibilities

• Risk assess work environments before starting to avoid damages or injuries, following HSE and GSIUR 1998.
• Identify materials and log work and materials on PDA/IT system.
• Coordinate with procurement & admin teams; inform residents of timescales.
• Manage allocated van stock; keep stock levels.
• Be flexible for work outside normal hours as needed.
• Carry out daily tasks with a professional, customer-focused approach.
• Report vulnerabilities or concerns via internal system to management.
• Keep allocated company vehicle clean and tidy; wear correct uniform; dispose waste per regulations.

We support our clients across domestic gas, commercial gas, renewables, and electrical services. Role

• To risk assess work/working environments before starting any works to avoid damages or injuries, and undertake all work in accordance with Health & Safety and The Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations (GSIUR) 1998
• To identify materials and parts required to carry out repairs to the set company standard. To record accurate logs of work undertaken and materials used capturing this on the company’s PDA / I.T system
• There any further works are required, to liaise with procurement & admin teams then inform residents of timescale for completion of the work being undertaken
• To manage, control and be responsible for allocated van stock ensuring levels are kept as necessary
• Be prepared to work flexible with the possibility of work outside normal working hours depending on the needs of the business
• Carryout your daily tasks in a helpful and professional approach prioritising customer service
• To report any vulnerabilities or concerns to management via our internal system so it can be addressed and reported back to the appropriate client
• To keep your allocated company vehicle clean and tidy at all times, always wear correct uniform and dispose of any waste to company/HSE regulations

The successful candidate will have

• Level 2 plumbing qualification or equivalent
