Job summary

Sureserve is hiring for a field-based role within the Sureserve Compliance South team. The successful applicant will risk assess environments, identify required materials, and manage van stock while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance under GSIUR 1998.

A Level 2 plumbing qualification and a clean UK driving licence are essential. Experience in social housing is desirable, with a strong emphasis on delivering high levels of customer service to a diverse client base.

Qualifications

• Level 2 plumbing qualification or equivalent.
• Full UK Driving Licence (6 points or less).
• Experience within Social Housing desirable, but not essential.
• Experience delivering high levels of customer service. The ability to work with a diverse customer base.

Responsibilities

• Risk assess work/environments before starting works to ensure safety in accordance with GSIUR 1998.
• Identify materials and parts; record logs of work and materials used on PDA/IT system.
• Coordinate with procurement/admin and inform residents of timescales for completion.
• Manage, control and maintain allocated van stock; keep stock levels.
• Be prepared to work flexibly, including hours outside normal working times as needed.
• Carry out daily tasks with a focus on customer service and professionalism.
• Report vulnerabilities or concerns via internal system to management.
• Keep company vehicle clean and tidy; wear correct uniform; dispose of waste per regulations.

Role

• To risk assess work/working environments before starting any works to avoid damages or injuries, and undertake all work in accordance with Health & Safety and The Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations (GSIUR) 1998
• To identify materials and parts required to carry out repairs to the set company standard. To record accurate logs of work undertaken and materials used capturing this on the company’s PDA / I.T system
• There any further works are required, to liaise with procurement & admin teams then inform residents of timescale for completion of the work being undertaken
• To manage, control and be responsible for allocated van stock ensuring levels are kept as necessary
• Be prepared to work flexible with the possibility of work outside normal working hours depending on the needs of the business
• Carryout your daily tasks in a helpful and professional approach prioritising customer service
• To report any vulnerabilities or concerns to management via our internal system so it can be addressed and reported back to the appropriate client
• To keep your allocated company vehicle clean and tidy at all times, always wear correct uniform and dispose of any waste to company/HSE regulations

The successful candidate will have

• Level 2 plumbing qualification or equivalent
• Full UK Driving Licence (6 points or less)
• Experience within Social Housing desirable, but not essential
