Qualifications

• Active or recently held ACS Domestic Gas Qualifications (CCN1, CPA1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1).
• Time-served experience as a Domestic Gas Service, Breakdown, or Installation Engineer.
• Desire to progress into technical management, operations, or technical compliance.
• Strong communication and IT skills; proficient with MS Office and digital job portals.
• Methodical diagnostic approach and ability to review technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary office-based technical contact for field engineers, providing diagnostic guidance and phone support.
• Review CP12s, landlor d gas safety records, and flue gas reports for compliance.
• Coordinate workload triage with helpdesk and deploy engineers effectively.
• Mentor onboarding and auditing of junior engineers and apprentices.
• Liaise with housing associations, estate managers, and private clients on technical queries.

Are you an experienced, ACS-qualified Domestic Gas Engineer looking to hang up your tools and step into an office-based supervisory role?

We are seeking a technically sound, ambitious Domestic Gas Engineer to join a reputable, rapidly growing specialist maintenance contractor as a Junior Technical Manager.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Technical Guidance & Support: Serve as the primary office-based technical point of contact for field engineers, offering diagnostic guidance and phone support for complex breakdown and installation queries.
• Compliance & Quality Auditing: Review completed digital job sheets, Landlord Gas Safety Records (CP12s), and flue gas combustion reports to ensure strict adherence to Gas Safe and GIUSP standards.
• Workload & Triage Coordination: Work alongside the helpdesk team to triage technical job callouts, evaluate parts requests, and ensure field engineers are deployed effectively.
• Engineer Mentorship: Support the onboarding, technical guidance, and field auditing of junior engineers and apprentices.
• Client & Subcontractor Liaison: Assist in managing technical queries from housing associations, estate managers, and private clients, ensuring high standards of service delivery.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

• Gas Credentials: Active or recently held ACS Domestic Gas Qualifications (CCN1, CPA1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1).
• Field Experience: Time-served experience as a Domestic Gas Service, Breakdown, or Installation Engineer.
• A ambition to Progress: Strong desire to step off the tools and build a long-term career in technical management, operations, or technical compliance.
• Communication & Computer Skills: Strong verbal communication skills, a professional phone manner, and comfortable using office IT systems (MS Office, emails, digital job portals).
