Effective Recruitment Solutions Ltd is seeking a Senior Gas Engineer to service, maintain and upgrade commercial gas systems across Greater London, the South East and Home Counties. The role combines hands-on engineering with technical support, audits and compliance oversight.

You will interpret manufacturers' guidance, provide guidance to engineers, and contribute to ensuring gas safety and regulatory compliance across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Current and relevant commercial gas ACS qualifications.
• Strong hands-on commercial gas engineering experience.
• Good knowledge of commercial gas testing and commissioning.

Senior Gas Engineer

We are recruiting for an experienced Senior Gas Engineer to join a well-established and growing building services business, covering Greater London, the South East and Home Counties.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced commercial gas professional looking for a senior position combining hands-on engineering with technical support, compliance and quality assurance.

The successful Senior Gas Engineer will work across a variety of commercial sites, servicing, maintaining, fault-finding, repairing and commissioning commercial gas appliances and associated systems.

Alongside hands-on engineering, you will provide technical support to other engineers, carry out audits and technical investigations, review gas certification and service documentation and help ensure work is completed in line with current legislation, industry standards and Gas Safe requirements.

The Role

As a Senior Gas Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

• Servicing, maintaining, fault-finding and repairing commercial gas appliances and associated systems.
• Testing and commissioning commercial gas equipment.
• Providing technical support and guidance to field engineers.
• Carrying out technical audits and site investigations.
• Reviewing gas certification and service documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Investigating recurring or higher-risk technical issues.
• Ensuring gas-related work meets current legislation, industry standards and company procedures.
• Working closely with engineering teams, contract management and technical/compliance departments.
• Preparing clear technical reports and recommendations for clients and internal teams.
• Supporting improvements in engineering quality, consistency and compliance.

The Senior Gas Engineer will be trusted to make important technical decisions while providing practical support to engineers working across the region.

The successful Senior Gas Engineer will ideally have:

• Current and relevant commercial gas ACS qualifications.
• Strong hands-on commercial gas engineering experience.
• Extensive experience servicing, maintaining, repairing and fault-finding commercial gas appliances and systems.
• Good knowledge of commercial gas testing and commissioning.
• Strong understanding of gas safety, certification and compliance requirements.
• Ability to interpret manufacturers' instructions and technical information.
• Strong technical fault-finding and problem-solving skills.Good written communication and report-writing ability.
• The confidence to provide technical guidance and support to other engineers.
• A professional and safety-focused approach to work.

The Senior Gas Engineer will receive:

• £55,000 - £62,500 starting salary DOE
