Job description

Domestic Gas Engineer required for our client, a boiler manufacturer operating worldwide. Specifically, they are looking for a service and breakdown engineer to cover the Portsmouth and Southampton areas. The gas engineer will carry out warranty repairs within domestic housing for the client's range of boilers, so must hold their ACS Domestic Gas qualifications, including CCN1 and CENWAT. Additional training on the client's specific boilers will be provided.

The Domestic Gas Engineer will be based within the Portsmouth and Southampton areas. The engineer will generally be allocated a local patch each day to minimize travel. They are expected to complete a 9-hour working day, with flexible start and finish times. Travel time may be included or paid if it exceeds the standard hours. The engineer will also earn a bonus based on first fix rates.

Domestic Gas Engineer Position Requirements

1. Experience in repair and fault-finding on domestic boilers
2. Based within the patch or within a commutable distance
3. ACS Domestic Gas qualifications, including CCN1 and CENWAT
4. Full UK Driving License

Remuneration

1. £38,000 basic salary, depending on experience
2. Approximately £3,000 performance-based annual bonus

4. 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
