Job description

Job Title: Domestic Gas Engineer

We are offering a full-time position (40 hours per week) with working hours from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday. The role is initially temporary with the potential to become permanent. The pay rate is £21.00 per hour under PAYE.

Our client is seeking a qualified domestic Gas Engineer to join their Regional Gas team. The primary responsibilities include:

1. Carrying out service, repair, and some installation work of central heating systems and radiators.
2. Maintaining a variety of heating systems in tenants' houses and other company-owned properties.

The role involves:

1. Installing gas boilers, cylinders, radiators, and complete heating systems.
2. Performing service, maintenance, and diagnostics on gas boilers, central heating, and unvented hot water systems.
3. Utilizing analytical and trade skills to diagnose and repair faults.
4. Completing and submitting gas safety records, identifying and responding to risks, and recording work via electronic devices such as tablets or phones.

Skills and qualifications required:

• Current Gas Safe Registration ACS (previously ACOPS) and a natural gas domestic qualification, including CCN1, CENWAT1, CPA1, CKR1, and HTR1.
• Unvented Hot Water Qualification (UDHW) is also essential.
• Experience in installing, servicing, and repairing gas systems.
