Join to apply for the Commercial Gas Engineer role at Thermatic Group.

We are seeking a full-time Mobile Commercial Gas Engineer to join our expanding team of service engineers. You will work alongside other engineers across numerous commercial clients in London and surrounding areas.

This is a fully remote role requiring a full UK driving license. The role involves attending client sites to perform planned and reactive maintenance, supporting the effective, efficient, and safe delivery of services.

Thermatic Technical FM offers nationwide coverage, providing comprehensive Hard FM services to large commercial clients. Our mobile engineers are supported by our Head Office account teams to deliver reactive breakdown and planned maintenance services.

Hours & Location of Work:

Main location: This is a fully mobile role covering London and surrounding areas.

Regular hours: Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, 40 hours/week. Out-of-hours maintenance may require early starts, late finishes, or night work.

On Call: Includes a 24-hour rota on a maximum 1 week in 4 schedule (Friday-Thursday).

Skills, Experience & Qualifications:

Essential:

• Experience in FM industry supporting commercial properties with reactive and planned maintenance
• Gas Safe qualified for all commercial and industrial equipment (CPA1, CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1, CODNCO1, CIGA1, ICPN1, COMCAT1-5)
• Oil Fired Heater (Oftec) certification
• LPG certification
• Knowledge of Building Regulations
• Understanding of Building Environmental and Electrical Services (heating, ventilation, A/C)
• Health & Safety compliance experience
• Basic plumbing and building materials skills
• Asbestos Awareness
• Full UK driving license

Desirable:

• CSCS card
• IPAF & PASMA certifications
• FGas Cat4
• Part P Electrical certification

Responsibilities include:

• Carrying out domestic and commercial gas installation, commissioning, fault finding, and maintenance, including servicing and repairing gas and oil heating systems
• Performing planned and reactive maintenance as per schedules
• Providing accurate timesheets
• Supporting team members and acting as second-man when required
• Participating in a 24-hour call-out rota
• Attending client premises promptly to meet SLAs
• Maintaining positive client relationships through on-site interactions
• Assisting with quotations and sourcing suppliers for additional works
• Producing technical and situational reports
• Escalating major issues appropriately
