Job summary

NHS Property Services is seeking a Domestic Services Operative for a mobile cleaning role across multiple sites. You will travel between locations and cover shifts on a 5am to 9pm schedule, Monday to Friday. A full driving licence and a standard DBS check are required.

The role focuses on infection prevention and adherence to the Domestic Services Operative Manual and cleaning schedules to ensure high cleanliness standards across healthcare premises.

• Carry out cleaning duties across multiple sites to a high standard.
• Deliver a full cleaning service in line with the Domestic Services Operative Manual, policies and cleaning schedules.
• Ensure cleaning schedules are completed accurately and consistently across all allocated locations.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and infection prevention.
• Travel between allocated locations.
• Support cleaning cover across sites as the service requires.
• Follow health and safety and COSHH guidelines.
• Work collaboratively with team members, site colleagues and Soft FM management.

Job description

This mobile domestic post sits in the Delivery Frontline team of NHS Property Services, which runs cleaning across its premises. The core work is cleaning healthcare buildings to set schedules and the Domestic Services Operative Manual, with a strong focus on infection prevention. The role is mobile, so the postholder travels between allocated sites and covers others as needed, on split shifts from 5am to 9pm, Monday to Friday. A full driving licence and a standard DBS check are required.
