Job summary

Avante Care & Support is recruiting a Domestic Assistant for Bridge Haven, a purpose-built home delivering residential and dementia care. You will help maintain cleanliness and comfort throughout the home, contributing to a space residents are proud to call home.

Role involves cleaning resident rooms, bathrooms, and communal areas, adhering to hygiene standards, and supporting a welcoming environment while following health and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning or domestic experience (desirable).
• Understanding of hygiene and infection control standards (or willingness to learn).
• Reliable, punctual, and well-organised.
• A caring and respectful approach when working in a home environment.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain resident rooms, bathrooms, and communal areas.
• Ensure high standards of hygiene and infection control at all times.
• Follow cleaning schedules and procedures.
• Replenish supplies and report any maintenance issues.
• Use cleaning equipment safely and correctly.
• Support a welcoming, comfortable environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
• Work in line with health and safety regulations and care home policies.
