Job summary

Avante Care & Support Ltd. is seeking a dedicated cleaner for Barnes Lodge Care Home in Tonbridge to maintain a clean and inviting environment for residents and staff.

You will follow cleaning schedules, observe hygiene standards, and contribute to a safe, comfortable home where residents feel valued and cared for. Flexible weekend shifts may be included.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning is a bonus but not essential.
• Basic hygiene knowledge or willingness to learn.
• Reliable and organized.
• Respectful, caring, and mindful of working in a resident's home.
• Team player who can also work independently.

Responsibilities

• Keep resident rooms, bathrooms, and shared spaces clean and inviting.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene and infection control.
• Follow cleaning schedules and best practices.
• Replenish supplies and report maintenance issues.
• Use cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
• Help create a warm, welcoming atmosphere for residents, visitors, and colleagues.
• Work in line with health & safety and care home policies.
