Job summary

Active Care Group is hiring a domestic assistant for our Hunters Moor service in Birmingham. The role involves maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across the premises to support patients receiving neuro rehabilitation and related care.

You will join a caring team and be expected to uphold high standards of cleanliness and patient comfort. The position is a fixed-term contract for 12 months, 37.5 hours per week over 7 days, with duties including general cleaning, laundry, and adherence to safety

Qualifications

• Previous domestic experience
• Knowledge of COSHH desirable
• Excellent customer service skills
• Previous experience using cleaning machinery (carpet cleaners, floor cleaners, steamers)

Responsibilities

• General cleaning of premises including floors, sinks, toilets, wash basins, baths, work showers, surfaces, cupboards; restock materials as required
• Ensure Laundry is taken care of
• Carry out periodic cleaning (corridors, walls, windows, carpets) using appropriate machines/tools
• Adhere to COSHH procedures in storage and care of cleaning equipment
• Maintain smart appearance in company uniform at all times
• Provide high levels of customer care
• Complete all statutory and mandatory training as relevant to role

Come and join one of the UK's largest providers in complex care. We have an amazing opportunity for a domestic assistant to join our caring and support team at our service Hunters Moor in Birmingham. Hunters Moor accommodates patients requiring neuro rehabilitation, which may include complex physical rehabilitation needs. We are looking for an attentive domestic assistant to support the functions of our establishment and the needs of our patients and service users.

What you'll be working

Fixed Term - 12 months 37.5 hours per week over 7 days

What you'll be doing

• General cleaning of premises including floors, sinks, toilets, wash hand basins, baths, work showers, surfaces, cupboards etc. using designated equipment and re-stocking materials as required
• Ensure Laundry is taken care
• Carry out periodic cleaning, such as corridor walls, windows and carpets using the appropriate machines/tools
• Correct usage, storage and care of cleaning equipment, adhering to COSHH procedures
• Ensure a smart appearance wearing the company uniform provided
• Provide high levels of Customer Care at all time
• Complete all statutory and mandatory training, whether it be delivered face-to-face or via e-learning, deemed relevant to their role

What we would like from you

• Previous domestic experience
• Knowledge of COSHH desirable
• Excellent Customer Service SkillsPrevious experience of using cleaning machinery would be beneficial eg carpet cleaners, floor cleaners, steamers
