Job summary

Active Care Group is recruiting a Housekeeper for our Frenchay service in Bristol. The role is part-time (14 hours per week) with a pro rata annualised salary around £25,400.16 FTE. You will join the onsite domestic team to maintain a clean, safe facility for adults with complex needs.

Responsibilities include general cleaning, periodic deep cleaning, proper handling of cleaning equipment, and presenting a smart appearance in uniform. DBS check will be required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Housekeeper in Healthcare or Domestic cleaning backgrounds.
• Ability to work unsupervised and take initiative.
• Willingness to undergo Enhanced DBS.
• Interest in working in a caring environment.

• Clean general premises including floors, sinks, toilets, baths and surfaces with designated equipment.

Come and join one of the UK’s largest providers in complex care. We'd like you to join us as a Housekeeper at our service Frenchay in Bristol. Frenchay Brain Injury Rehabilitation Centre is a 52 bed centre, we specialise in the treatment of adults with complex physical and cognitive impairments, challenging behaviours and neuropsychiatric disorders resulting from a brain injury. We offer comprehensive assessment, rehabilitation and therapy with amazing facilities including Accessible therapy kitchens, Hydrotherapy pool, Two gymnasiums plus 5 large day rooms, three with direct access landscaped gardens. We also have 2 minibuses and a car for those important appointments and days out!

What you'll be working:

• Part time 14 hours per week
• £25,400.16 (FTE) Per annum (Pro rata)

What you'll be doing:

• Work as part of the onsite domestic team ensuring a high standard of upkeep is achieved and maintained
• General cleaning of premises including floors, sinks, toilets, wash hand basins, baths, work showers, surfaces, cupboards etc. using designated equipment and re-stocking materials as required
• Carry out periodic cleaning, such as corridor walls, windows and carpets using the appropriate machines/tools
• Correct usage, storage and care of cleaning equipment, adhering to COSHH procedures
• Ensure a smart appearance wearing the company uniform provided
• Provide high levels of Customer Care at all times
• Complete all statutory and mandatory training, whether it be delivered face‑to‑face or via e‑learning, deemed relevant to their role.

What you'll have:

• A genuine interest in working within a caring environment
• Previous experience as a Housekeeper from either a Healthcare or Domestic cleaning background
• Experience working unsupervised and on your own initiative
• Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS
