Job summary

Active Care Group in Bristol is seeking a part-time Housekeeper for our Frenchay service, a 52-bed centre specialising in complex physical and cognitive care after brain injury.

You will join the onsite domestic team to maintain cleanliness to a high standard using designated equipment, perform periodic cleaning, and support a comfortable environment for residents. DBS check is required; initiative and reliability are valued.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Housekeeper in Healthcare or Domestic cleaning is required.
• Able to work unsupervised and use initiative.
• Enhanced DBS clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness across premises.
• Clean floors, sinks, toilets, baths, and surfaces using designated equipment.
• Carry out periodic cleaning and use appropriate machines/tools.
• Ensure correct storage and care of cleaning equipment and materials.
• Wear the company uniform and present a smart appearance.
• Provide high levels of customer care and complete mandatory training.

Come and join one of the UK’s largest providers in complex care. We'd like you to join us as a Housekeeper at our service Frenchay in Bristol. Frenchay Brain Injury Rehabilitation Centre is a 52 bed centre, we specialise in the treatment of adults with complex physical and cognitive impairments, challenging behaviours and neuropsychiatric disorders resulting from a brain injury. We offer comprehensive assessment, rehabilitation and therapy with amazing facilities including Accessible therapy kitchens, Hydrotherapy pool, Two gymnasiums plus 5 large day rooms, three with direct access landscaped gardens. We also have 2 minibuses and a car for those important appointments and days out!

What you'll be working:

Part time 14 hours per week £25,400.16 (FTE) Per annum (Pro rata)

What you'll be doing:

• Work as part of the onsite domestic team ensuring a high standard of upkeep is achieved and maintained
• General cleaning of premises including floors, sinks, toilets, wash hand basins, baths, work showers, surfaces, cupboards etc. using designated equipment and re-stocking materials as required
• Carry out periodic cleaning, such as corridor walls, windows and carpets using the appropriate machines/tools
• Correct usage, storage and care of cleaning equipment, adhering to COSHH procedures
• Ensure a smart appearance wearing the company uniform provided
• Provide high levels of Customer Care at all times
• Complete all statutory and mandatory training, whether it be delivered face-to-face or via e-learning, deemed relevant to their role.

What you’ll have:

• A genuine interest in working within a caring environment
• Previous experience as a Housekeeper from either a Healthcare or Domestic cleaning background
• Experience working unsupervised and on your own initiative
• Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS
