Job summary

Dovehaven Care Homes is hiring a Domestic Cleaner for Millbrook House Nursing Home in Southport. The role is a four-day, 8am–2pm contract on a rota basis with every other weekend, offering a Real Living Wage. You will be responsible for cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment for residents and staff.

Training is provided before your first shift, with ongoing development and a full induction. DBS check is required, and sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Experience in domestic cleaning in a care setting preferred.
• Diligent and reliable with good time management.
• Able to work on a rota including every other weekend.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain a safe and welcoming environment for residents, visitors and staff.
• Vacuum, dust, mop floors, polish, shampoo carpets and launder resident clothes and linen.

About the role:

As a domestic/ laundry assistant you will be responsible for ensuring a clean safe environment is provided for our residents, visitors and staff and be an important part of the team that ensures residents in our care feel valued. Duties will include following a daily schedule for cleaning within the home, hoovering, dusting, polishing, shampooing carpets, mopping floors, washing, ironing ofresident’s clothes, linen, and ensure all property goes back into the correct resident’s room, alsocompleting other duties as required.
