Job summary

The Brunswick in Southport is seeking a Domestic/Laundry Assistant to join Dovehaven Care Homes. This role offers 16 hours per week on a rota basis with 7.30am–4pm shifts and alternate weekend availability. You will help keep the home clean and welcoming, assist with laundry, and support residents with care and respect.

We provide induction training, DBS check, paid benefits, and a friendly, supportive team in a family-run setting. Excellent opportunity to contribute to residents’ daily comfort.

Qualifications

• Previous domestic or housekeeping experience
• An understanding of hygiene and cleanliness standards
• Good organisational and time management skills

Responsibilities

• Following daily cleaning schedules throughout the home
• Hoovering, dusting, polishing, and mopping floors
• Shampooing carpets and maintaining communal areas
• Supporting high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
• Assisting with laundry duties including washing, drying, and ironing
• Ensuring clothing and bedding are labelled and cared for correctly
• Working closely with colleagues to maintain a welcoming environment
• Supporting residents with kindness, dignity, and respect

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Domestic Assistant, you’ll play an important role in ensuring residents enjoy a clean, safe, and comfortable environment every day.

This includes:

• Following daily cleaning schedules throughout the home
