Job summary

NHS Property Services Ltd is recruiting a Domestic Assistant for Newcastle upon Tyne - Elswick Health Centre. The role involves maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming healthcare environment early each morning, on a Monday to Friday schedule.

You will clean to high standards, support infection prevention, and follow Health & Safety and COSHH procedures as part of a dedicated facilities team committed to patient care.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning or domestic services.
• Ability to follow procedures and health and safety guidelines.
• Reliable and dependable with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

We're looking for a Domestic Assistant to join our team at Newcastle upon Tyne - Elswick Health Centre. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who takes pride in maintaining clean, safe and welcoming environments and wants to make a meaningful difference through their work every day.

About the role

• Location: Newcastle upon Tyne - Elswick Health Centre
• Hours: 10 hours per week
• Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 6am – 8am
• Standard DBS Check Required

What you'll be doing

As a Domestic Assistant, you'll play an important role in ensuring our healthcare environment remains clean, safe and comfortable for patients, visitors and colleagues.

Working in line with NHS Property Services policies, procedures and cleaning schedules, you'll:

• Carry out cleaning duties to a consistently high standard
• Support infection prevention and control measures
• Follow Health & Safety and COSHH procedures
• Complete routine cleaning tasks efficiently and effectively
• Maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment throughout the site
