Job summary

NHS Property Services Ltd is recruiting a Domestic Assistant for Kingswood Surgery, Harrogate. The role covers 7.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 17:00–18:30, on-site with a standard DBS check required. You will help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming healthcare environment for patients and staff.

Join a values-driven team focused on supporting colleagues, patients and visitors while delivering consistent cleaning standards and infection prevention across the site.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning and domestic services
• Experience in hospitality or facilities services is a plus
• Customer-facing roles where maintaining high standards is important
• Reliable and dependable, able to follow procedures and work safely
• Able to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning duties to a consistently high standard
• Support infection prevention and control measures
• Follow Health & Safety and COSHH procedures
• Complete routine cleaning tasks efficiently and effectively
• Maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment throughout the site

About the role

• Location: Kingswood Surgery 2nd floor - Harrogate
• Hours: 7.5 hours per week
• Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 17:00pm - 18:30pm
• Standard DBS Check Required

What you'll be doing

As a Domestic Assistant, you'll play an important role in ensuring our healthcare environment remains clean, safe and comfortable for patients, visitors and colleagues.

Working in line with NHS Property Services policies, procedures and cleaning schedules, you'll:

• Carry out cleaning duties to a consistently high standard
• Support infection prevention and control measures
• Follow Health & Safety and COSHH procedures
• Complete routine cleaning tasks efficiently and effectively
• Maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment throughout the site
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver an excellent service
