Job summary

Greenways Care Home in Glasgow is seeking a Domestic Assistant to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for residents across four floors. You will clean resident bedrooms, bathrooms and communal areas, and assist with laundry while upholding infection control standards.

The role is full-time, 37.5 hours per week, paying £12.71 per hour with PVG paid, pension and uniform provided. We value dignity, kindness and connection in our supportive team-focused setting.

Qualifications

• Positive and reliable approach to work.

Domestic Assistant Contract

• £12.71 per hour
• Contracted to 37.5 hours per week
• Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Domestic Assistant, you will play an essential role in creating a clean, safe and welcoming environment that supports wellbeing, dignity and comfort. This is a hands on role where your attention to detail and high standards will have a direct impact on daily life.

You will be responsible for cleaning residents’ rooms, bathrooms and communal areas, ensuring all spaces are maintained to a high standard of hygiene and presentation. You will also support laundry services, helping to ensure personal belongings are handled with care and returned correctly.

Working closely with the wider team, you will follow infection control, health and safety and cleaning procedures, ensuring all tasks are completed safely and in line with required standards. Your role will contribute to a well organised, respectful and comfortable environment for everyone.
