Dovehaven Care Homes is hiring a Domestic Assistant for Hope House in Accrington. The role covers cleaning duties to create a safe, welcoming home for residents, and supporting laundry services as needed.

You will work 24 hours per week over 3 days (8am - 4:30pm) on a rota with alternate weekend availability. A caring attitude and reliability are essential for delivering high standards of cleanliness and resident comfort.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a clean, safe environment for residents, visitors and staff.

• Support residents with dignity and respect during daily routines.

About the Role:

As a Domestic Assistant you will be responsible for ensuring a clean safe environment is provided for our residents, visitors and staff and be an important part of the team that ensures residents in our care feel valued. Duties will include following a daily schedule for cleaning within the home, hoovering, dusting, polishing, shampooing carpets, mopping floors and any other duties as required to a high standard.

About You:

You will have a caring nature and a positive attitude, showing a desire to deliver the best possible standard of domestic and laundry service to the residents in our care. You will ideally have previous domestic experience and be committed to ensuring the highest levels of cleanliness, hygiene and appearance. You will be able to demonstrate compassion and empathy in your approach to residents with varying needs, be a team player and able to work on your own initiative. You will be dependable and flexible to meet the needs of the residents and the home.
