Job summary

Aurem Care is seeking a dedicated Domestic Assistant to help maintain a clean, safe, and homely environment for residents at Red House, Ashtead. You will support the care home team with cleaning tasks and infection control.

This role is 37.5 hours per week, 8:00 to 16:00, with weekend shifts. The position offers a competitive hourly rate of £12.71, plus benefits such as life insurance, DBS check, pension, parking, and progression opportunities.

About The Role

Our Domestic Assistants are essential members of the care home team. You will play a key role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and infection control throughout the home, helping to create a safe and pleasant environment for residents, visitors, and colleagues.

• Carry out all cleaning duties as directed by the Head Housekeeper.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the home.
• Ensure all cleaning equipment is used safely and stored correctly.
• Follow all infection prevention and control procedures.
• Adhere to COSHH regulations and safe working practices.
• Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) appropriately at all times.
• Respect the privacy, dignity, and individual needs of residents.
• Re-stock cleaning trolleys and maintain clean, organised storage areas.
• Support the wider housekeeping team with additional duties as required.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will:

• Have previous housekeeping or cleaning experience.

Working Hours
