Job summary

Aurem Care is seeking a dedicated Domestic Assistant to help create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents in our care home in Ashtead, United Kingdom. You will play a key role in maintaining high cleanliness standards and infection control, while respecting residents’ privacy and dignity.

The role offers 37.5 hours per week with shifts from 8:00am to 16:00pm and weekend work. We provide a comprehensive induction, on-site parking, life insurance, a pension scheme, and progression

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience.
• Reliable, hardworking and pride in your work.

Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning duties as directed by Head Housekeeper.
• Maintain high cleanliness standards throughout the home.
• Use and store cleaning equipment safely.
• Follow infection prevention and control procedures.
• Adhere to COSHH and safe working practices.
• Use PPE appropriately at all times.
• Respect residents’ privacy and dignity.
• Restock cleaning trolleys and keep storage areas tidy.
• Assist wider housekeeping team with additional duties.

At Aurem Care, we're looking for a dedicated Domestic Assistant to join our team and help ensure our residents enjoy a comfortable, hygienic, and homely environment every day.

About the Role

Our Domestic Assistants are essential members of the care home team. You will play a key role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and infection control throughout the home, helping to create a safe and pleasant environment for residents, visitors, and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out all cleaning duties as directed by the Head Housekeeper.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the home.
• Ensure all cleaning equipment is used safely and stored correctly.
• Follow all infection prevention and control procedures.
• Adhere to COSHH regulations and safe working practices.
• Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) appropriately at all times.
• Respect the privacy, dignity, and individual needs of residents.
• Re-stock cleaning trolleys and maintain clean, organised storage areas.
• Support the wider housekeeping team with additional duties as required.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will:

• Have previous housekeeping or cleaning experience.
• Be reliable, hardworking, and take pride in your work.
• Be able to work independently as well as part of a team.

• Be able to prioritise tasks effectively and work efficiently.
