Job summary

Aurem Care is seeking a Domestic Assistant to join Buxton Lodge Care Home in Caterham, Surrey. The role focuses on maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and colleagues.

You will work 35 hours per week, 8:00am – 3:00pm, with weekend shifts on a rota basis. Benefits include a pension, DBS, on-site parking, plus training and development opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Carry out all cleaning duties as directed by the Head Housekeeper.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the home.
• Ensure all cleaning equipment is used safely and stored correctly.
• Follow all infection prevention and control procedures.
• Adhere to COSHH regulations and safe working practices.
• Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) appropriately at all times.
• Respect the privacy, dignity, and individual needs of residents.
• Re-stock cleaning trolleys and maintain clean, organised storage areas.
• Support the wider housekeeping team with additional duties as required.

About the Role

Our Domestic Assistants are essential members of the care home team. You will play a key role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and infection control throughout the home, helping to create a safe and pleasant environment for residents, visitors, and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

What We Offer
