Job description

Your Company

We are looking for a Domestic Abuse Support Worker to join a strong team within the Monmouthshire region. You will be supporting families and individuals who have experienced domestic abuse and have tenancy-related issues as a result.

Your New Role

In the role of Domestic Abuse Support Worker, you will be supporting people who have been affected by domestic violence. You will assess the needs of individuals, undertake risk assessments, and work with a multi-agency team to deliver the appropriate support. The role will include supporting families to create a support network that enables them to live within their community and liaising with relevant agencies to support them.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

To succeed in this role, you will need previous experience in Violence Against Women, Domestic Abuse, and Sexual Violence support work. Experience working within the community and collaborating with other agencies would also be beneficial. You will need the ability to stay calm and positive in challenging situations. It is essential that you have a full UK driving licence and your own vehicle.

What You’ll Get in Return

  • Monday to Friday, 9:00-16:30 or 9:30-17:00
