Job summary

Honeycomb Group in Stoke-on-Trent is recruiting a Domestic Abuse Practitioner to provide compassionate, person-centred support to adults and families affected by domestic abuse. You will guide clients from referral through to independent living, helping them access housing, safety, wellbeing, finances and recovery.

You will work with partner agencies, manage risk, maintain records securely, and support the service’s daily operations including housing management and on-call responses.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and maths or equivalent.
• Experience delivering support to customers.
• Experience with adults with complex needs such as relationship abuse and mental health.
• Knowledge of housing and health and safety in safe accommodation.
• Understanding of domestic abuse and remedies available.
• Ability to work under pressure in complex situations.
• Great written and verbal communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence and own vehicle.
• DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Process referrals, assess risk and manage accommodation allocations.
• Deliver tailored housing, safety, wellbeing and finances support.
• Coordinate with partner agencies to advocate needs and coordinate support.
• Maintain records and ensure information is stored securely.
• Support day-to-day running of the service including housing management and on-call response.
• Help customers move into and on from accommodation safely, building independence.
