Document Production Specialist – Edinburgh

A large national Scottish law firm is looking for an experienced Document Production Specialist to join its Edinburgh office.

Working across multiple legal teams, you will produce, edit, convert and format documents to a high standard using Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Foxit, ensuring full compliance with firm templates and house style.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce, edit, reformat and convert documents across Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Foxit
  • Ensure all work is accurate, well-presented and compliant with S+W house style
  • Manage deadlines and communicate with fee-earners and Coordinators on progress
  • Handle document-related calls, emails and Teams messages
  • Report formatting issues and document faults to IT Support
  • Assist with template updates, precedents, client-style formatting and BundleDocs
  • Transcribe digital dictation accurately and within set timescales
  • Support the PA team with document queries and identify training requirements
  • Participate in project work, pilot schemes and software testing
  • Provide general ad-hoc document and formatting assistance across the firm
What Experience The Firm is Interested In
  • Previous experience in a document production role within a law firm is essential
  • Advanced Word skills (styles, TOCs, cross-referencing, track changes)
  • Proficient in PowerPoint and Excel
  • Strong problem-solving skills, accuracy and attention to detail
  • Legal sector experience (desirable)
