Job summary

deverellsmith is seeking an experienced Document Controller for a London site-based role on a major residential development. You will manage EDMS, ensure accurate project information, and support multiple stakeholders throughout the build lifecycle.

Ideal candidates will have strong EDMS experience (Aconex), BIM and ISO standards familiarity, and excellent IT skills (Excel/SharePoint). The role offers a salary of £40,000 plus discretionary bonus and travel allowance, with comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Document Controller within construction.
Experience on large-scale residential or high-rise projects is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of EDMS platform Aconex.
Familiarity with BIM processes and ISO document control standards.
Confident liaising with multiple stakeholders across projects.
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
Strong IT skills including Excel and SharePoint.

Responsibilities

Manage and maintain EDMS across projects.
Ensure timely distribution and accuracy of project information.
Support and train internal teams, consultants, and subcontractors on document systems.
Set up projects within EDMS, including user access and permissions.
Act as the main point of contact for document control queries and issue resolution.
Monitor quality and compliance of documentation, including uploads, RFIs, and IFCs.
Produce reports and support wider project administration.
