Base pay range

Role Overview

The document controller is responsible for all of the documents in the company. A few of the main duties of a document controller are, ensure all documents are accessible, communicating with auditors, and organizing documents. The document controller shall follow the agreed filing structure. All elements below include both grid connection and Private/Balance of Plant Projects and range from LV through to 132kV.

What will you be doing?

  • Follow the agreed filing structure
  • Work on third party clients document control systems
  • Ensure that all documents are up to date
  • Train employees on how to use and access the documents
  • Minimising operation expenditure within the business wherever possible from a design perspective.
  • Produce designs that follow (as applicable): EP policies, UK standards, DNO/IDNO policies, Employer’s requirements
  • Providing design sub-contractors with the information required.
  • Creating the design risk assessment during the lifecycle of the project.
  • Support procurement activities from a technical perspective for key items.
  • Support the review and ongoing updates to project cash flow trackers, to ensure projects are delivered within budget.
  • Support the recording and review of the utilisation tracker, to ensure projects are delivered within budget.

What are we looking for?

  • A basic understanding technical drawings
  • Can demonstrate working and interfacing with clients and key stakeholders on a project
  • MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
