Job summary

The Doctoral College at Manchester Metropolitan University is seeking an organised, proactive Assistant Research Degrees Officer to join Doctoral Services and support the successful delivery of research degree programmes across the University.

You will provide specialist administrative support, case management, student records administration and stakeholder engagement, ensuring processes are efficient, accurate and in line with regulations and external requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience providing administrative support in a complex, fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, able to explain detailed information clearly.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise competing demands.
• Ability to work collaboratively while taking ownership of responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Support the administration of doctoral degree programmes and provide advice to doctoral students and supervisors.
• Assist with management and resolution of complex student cases and enquiries.
• Maintain accurate student records and support registration and engagement processes.
• Produce reports and management information to support decision-making and quality assurance.
