Job summary

PE Global seeks a Warehouse Operative for a chemical plant in the UK. The role involves loading/unloading bulk materials, picking stock for production and orders, packing to drums/IBC containers, and ensuring accurate cycle counts and strict safety adherence.

Applicants should be comfortable working indoors and outdoors in all weather, with numeracy and literacy skills and attention to detail. Forklift experience is advantageous; COSHH knowledge is desirable. Visa sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• Role requires working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions within a chemical manufacturing plant.
• Numeracy and literacy skills are required, alongside a good attention to detail.
• Previous experience in Warehousing, Material Handling, stock control, COSHH system, or Chemical packaging would be an advantage.
• Prior forklift driving is an advantage. Specific forklift training is provided

Responsibilities

• Load and unload bulk raw materials and finished production from/to storage tanks.
• Pick raw materials for production and stock for customer orders; label accordingly.
• Pack from bulk to drums and IBCs.
• Assist with cycle counting to ensure stock accuracy.
• Follow safety and emergency procedures; know what to do in incidents.
• Be part of site Emergency Preparedness Procedures; member of the response team.
• Support Production Team with tasks like managing sample points and waste loads.
• Make recommendations for improvements to warehouse practices and procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant warehouse environment in line with Zero Tolerance and Life Critical Procedures.
• Ensure quality and safety procedures are followed to ship and receive correct goods
