Job summary

Langdons in Dover is recruiting a Dock Office Administrator to join a fast-paced transport team. The role is full-time and permanent, working 4 on 4 off from 8am to 8pm, with a salary of £31,350.76 per year and excellent company benefits.

You will coordinate despatch/receipt of goods, manage driver documents, respond to customer queries, maintain stock records, and support the Customer Service and Transport Teams as needed.

Qualifications

• Level 2 in Business Administration or equivalent.
• Extensive knowledge and application of health and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Act as key point of contact for despatch and receipt of customer goods
• Coordinate all incoming driver documents and update all relevant electronic and manual records
• Respond to customer queries, ensuring any discrepancies are recorded, investigated and resolved
• Update relevant records and brief colleagues on stock movement progress
• Conduct regular and ad hoc stock checks, escalating any issues to management in a timely manner
• Advise and guide other colleagues where required
• Provide cover for the Customer Service and Transport Teams where required

Here at Langdons, we have an amazing opportunity for a Dock Office Administrator to join the team based in Dover. You will be working on a full time, permanent basis, working 4 on 4 off 8am to 8pm and in return, you will receive a highly competitive salary of £31,350.76 per annum plus excellent company benefits!

The Dock Office Administrator role: This is a fantastic role to really get your teeth into! Your role will be to work in partnership with transport and warehouse colleagues to ensure that incoming and outgoing deliveries are handled and stored correctly and that all relevant records are created and maintained.

We have 12 depots and over 375 lorries carrying chilled and frozen food all over the country. We're the only company providing a 24-hour service of this kind, and we're very good at it.
