Job summary

Source BioScience is seeking a scientist to join our genomics and molecular biology teams. The role involves 37.5 hours per week with shift work and core hours from 9:00 to midnight.

You will extract DNA, process samples for sequencing, analyze data, and may support other departments as needed. Applicants should have laboratory experience in molecular biology, with an emphasis on accuracy, confidentiality, and data protection.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent experience required.
• Experience in molecular biology or sequencing is advantageous.
• Attention to confidentiality and data protection essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform DNA extraction and prepare samples for sequencing.
• Process DNA samples for sequencing and participate in data analysis.
• Cover duties in other departments when required and maintain quality standards.
• Maintain meticulous records using LIMS and paper formats as appropriate.
• Provide professional technical support to the commercial department when queried.
