Job summary

Ocean Housing Group in Cornwall is hiring a DMC Trade Operative to deliver damp, mould and condensation works across our housing stock. The role covers responsive repairs, maintenance and improvements, with a focus on safety, quality and tenant satisfaction.

You will apply primary trade skills and related trades in occupied properties, working solo or in a small team to minimise disruption and provide value for money. This is a permanent, full-time position.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent evidenced experience.
• Full Clean Driving Licence.
• Experience in the appropriate primary trade and enabling/secondary trades.
• Experience of working in occupied domestic properties.
• Ability to provide high quality service to tenants with minimal disruption and safety.

Responsibilities

• Damp, mould and condensation trade work including decoration tasks.
• Provide responsive repairs, building maintenance and improvements.
• Work alone or as part of a team to deliver quality, value and minimal disruption.
• Ensure works meet safety, quality and customer service standards.

Job Description

Our Property Services Team are currently recruiting for a Damp, Mould and Condensation (DMC) Trade operative.

Working as part of a team you will be providing responsive repairs, building maintenance and improvement work to the company's housing stock and other properties.

The position is permanent, full time (40 hours per week) with a salary of 30,900 per annum.

Trade Responsibilities:

• Primary Trade: Decoration (Washdowns, Preparation, Stain-block, Painting)
• Secondary Trade: Loft Insulation, Repairs of Trickle Vents

Working alone or as part of a team you will undertake duties on building maintenance and improvement work including repair, replacement, installation, removal, demolition, cleaning and making good as appropriate.

You will ensure works provided are of the highest quality, efficient and good value for money for our customers.

Qualifications and Experience:

• You will hold a relevant NVQ level 2 qualification or equivalent evidenced experience
• Hold a Full Clean Driving Licence
• You will have experience and competency in the appropriate primary trade and experience and competency in the enabling and associated secondary trades.
• Experience of working in occupied domestic properties
• You will be able to provide a quality service to tenants by carrying out works to a high standard in an efficient, effective, professional, respectful and safe manner ensuring excellent levels of customer service and minimal disruption to customers
• Experience in providing excellent customer service and developing relationships
