Job description

Diversity & Inclusion Business Partner

Coventry, Hybrid, UK

We’re looking for a confident, credible and hands‑on Diversity & Inclusion specialist to help shape, lead and embed our inclusion agenda across Morgan Sindall Infrastructure, supporting our wider PLACE culture approach and the behaviours we want to see every day.

This is a stand‑alone role with real breadth and visibility. You’ll be the key subject matter expert for the business, partnering with senior leaders, People colleagues, projects and employee networks to turn good intent into practical action that makes a difference to how our people experience work.

We need someone who can think strategically, influence confidently and also roll their sleeves up to get things done. From shaping roadmaps, using workforce insight and advising on policy, to facilitating conversations, designing interventions and tracking impact, you’ll bring energy, pace and follow‑through from idea to delivery.

What you’ll be doing
  • Acting as the trusted SME for diversity, inclusion, belonging and accessibility across MSI.
  • Supporting delivery of our D&I strategy, roadmap and priority action plans, making clear links with PLACE and our wider culture priorities.
  • Partnering with leaders and People teams to embed inclusive practice across policy, process, culture and the employee lifecycle.
  • Using data, employee voice and external good practice to identify barriers, shape solutions and measure progress.
  • Designing and delivering practical interventions, workshops and engagement activity that build inclusive leadership capability.
  • Working with employee networks and representative groups so colleague voice informs meaningful action.
About You
  • You bring strong experience in diversity, inclusion, belonging, accessibility or employee experience.
  • You are comfortable operating as the go‑to expert in a complex, decentralised business.
  • You can move easily between strategy and delivery, balancing big‑picture thinking with practical execution.
  • You are a clear starter‑finisher who creates momentum, follows through and holds yourself accountable for impact.
  • You are credible with senior stakeholders, confident in constructive challenge and able to influence without needing direct authority.
  • You are pragmatic, evidence‑led and commercially aware, with the confidence to turn insight into action.

If you’re passionate about creating a workplace where people feel respected, valued and able to contribute, and you’re ready to own and drive a business‑wide inclusion agenda from end to end, we’d love to hear from you.

What is in it for you?
  • Generous holiday entitlement with the option to buy five days.
  • Flexible and adaptable working
  • Family friendly policies and work/life approach
  • Mentoring programmes and continuous learning support
  • Contributory pension scheme
  • Annual bonus scheme
  • Recognition scheme and long service awards
  • Car scheme and Private Medical Insurance (if applicable to role)
  • We also provide the option to participate in our share‑save scheme; discounts including cycle to work and gym membership; a support and advice service for colleagues and their families, and more.
