Job summary

Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Community Nursing Deputy Team Lead to support the District Nursing Service across Blyth and surrounding areas. You will work with the team lead to manage day-to-day operations and ensure high standards of patient care.

You will lead, coach and mentor community nurses, coordinate care packages, and build strong relationships with GPs and other professionals. A valid NMC registration and District Nursing qualifications are essential.

Qualifications

• Registered General Nurse with current NMC registration.
• District Nursing Practitioner qualification or Non-Medical Prescribing (V300) and advanced clinical skills.
• Experience leading a team in community nursing or primary care setting.
• Ability to coach, mentor and develop staff within a clinical team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the District Nursing Team to deliver high-quality patient care.
• Establish communication with patients, carers, GPs and other professionals; ensure robust supervision and governance.
• Provide leadership, coaching and development to staff; manage workload and performance.
