Job summary

Savona Foodservice Limited, a leading independent foodservice wholesaler, is seeking an organised, proactive Distribution Assistant to support the Distribution Manager in day-to-day operations.

You will help with fleet compliance, vehicle onboarding, and routing tasks, ensuring on-time deliveries and a smooth customer experience across our depots.

The role suits a team player with a full driving license and knowledge of transport regulations; weekend work may be required.

The Role

To assist and support the Distribution Manager with the day to day running of the Distribution department.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Supporting the Distribution Manager in ensuring the fleet is compliant with all legal requirements.
• Ensuring all new vehicles are onboarded correctly. (including but not limited to, Insurance, O Licence, internal programs)
• Cover driver where appropriate.
• Engage with routing procedures on a daily basis. (Some weekend work may be required)
• Ensure all Distribution responsibilities are well maintained and fit for business. (IE, vehicles/sack trucks/vehicle wash)
• Take full responsibility for the department in the absence of the Distribution manager
• Liaise with Customer service to maintain an excellent customer experience
