Job summary

Savona Foodservice Limited is seeking a proactive professional to assist the Distribution Manager with the day-to-day running of the Distribution department. You will help keep fleets compliant, onboard new vehicles, and support routing and driver coverage to ensure smooth operations.

The role requires strong organisational and communication skills, a good grasp of fleet operations, and a valid Cat C driving licence.

The Role

To assist and support the Distribution Manager with the day to day running of the Distribution department.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Supporting the Distribution Manager in ensuring the fleet is compliant with all legal requirements.
• Ensuring all new vehicles are onboarded correctly. (including but not limited to, Insurance, O Licence, internal programs)
• Cover driver where appropriate.
• Engage with routing procedures on a daily basis. (Some weekend work may be required)
• Ensure all Distribution responsibilities are well maintained and fit for business. (IE, vehicles/sack trucks/vehicle wash)
• Take full responsibility for the department in the absence of the Distribution manager
• Liaise with Customer service to maintain an excellent customer experience
