Job summary

G2legal is seeking an experienced Dispute Resolution Solicitor at Senior Associate or Partner level to join its growing commercial team in Romsey, Hampshire. The role focuses on advising a wide range of clients on commercial disputes and developing the firm’s litigation offering across the region.

You will manage a varied caseload, oversee strategy, and contribute to business development while mentoring colleagues within the firm.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor with 8+ years' PQE in commercial litigation/dispute resolution.
• Strong technical ability in handling complex disputes and advise on strategy.
• Proven track record of developing client relationships and winning work.

Responsibilities

Dispute Resolution Partner/Senior Associate

Location: Romsey, Hampshire

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Dispute Resolution Solicitor at Senior Associate or Partner level to join a growing commercial team in Romsey.

This is a key appointment for someone who wants to play an active role in developing the firm's litigation offering across Hampshire and the wider South Coast. You’ll have the support of an established team around you, while having the opportunity to develop your own client base and build a strong profile within the local commercial market.

The opportunity

You will advise a broad range of clients on commercial disputes, acting for individuals, sole traders, SMEs and larger businesses across Hampshire. The work will be varied and will include managing disputes from initial instruction through to resolution, with matters potentially involving court proceedings, negotiations and Alternative Dispute Resolution.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing a varied caseload of commercial litigation and dispute resolution matters
• Assessing the legal and commercial merits of disputes and advising clients on strategy
• Investigating factual and legal issues and identifying appropriate courses of action
• Drafting pleadings, witness statements, correspondence and other court documentation
• Preparing for and attending hearings, including advocacy where appropriate
• Liaising with clients, opposing parties, witnesses, counsel, experts and the courts
• Instructing barristers and expert witnesses where required
• Advising clients on mediation and other forms of Alternative Dispute Resolution
• Ensuring all matters progress efficiently and court, tribunal and other procedural deadlines are met
• Supporting colleagues across the wider firm with dispute-related matters
• Contributing to the continued growth and development of the firm's commercial litigation practice
• Developing existing relationships and generating new business through networking and business development

About you

We’re looking for an established commercial disputes lawyer who combines strong technical ability with a genuine interest in developing clients and business. You will ideally a qualified Solicitor with 8+ years’ PQE in commercial litigation/dispute resolution.

This role would suit a Senior Associate looking for the next step towards Partnership, or an existing Partner seeking the opportunity to play a significant part in growing a commercial disputes practice in the Hampshire and South Coast market.
