Job summary

Superdrug Carlisle is looking for people to join the pharmacy team as a Dispenser or Trainee Pharmacy Assistant on a 24-hour week (Thursday, Friday, Saturday). The role includes counter sales, stock replenishment, and delivering great customer service.

No prior experience is required for trainee roles; NVQ Level 2 in Dispensing or equivalent is ideal, but enthusiasm for healthcare and customer service matters most.

We welcome applications from qualified Dispensers and those with no pharmacy experience who are eager to begin their career as a Trainee Pharmacy Assistant. Location: Carlisle Hours: 24 hours per week working Thursday, Friday and Saturday

Salary: £13.80 Per hour (Dispenser) / Up to £13.00 per hour (Trainee pharmacy assistant)

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Supporting the pharmacy team with counter sales and stock replenishment
• Delivering exceptional service across both the pharmacy counter and dispensary
• Ensuring customers and patients are served with care, efficiency, and professionalism
• Maintaining high standards of presentation and merchandising

We’re Looking For:

• Either NVQ Level 2 in Dispensing (or equivalent) ORa keen interest in healthcare to begin your pharmacy career with us as a trainee pharmacy assistant.
• No prior experience required – just a passion for healthcare and customer service
• A friendly, positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to work well in a team or independently
• Confidence to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Passionate about learning and open to training in additional services
