Asda Opticians is seeking an experienced Optical Manager to lead a busy team and ensure exceptional patient care. You will oversee the entire operation, coach staff, manage clinic processes and shop-floor activities, and work closely with the Optometrist to deliver fast-paced, high-quality service.

The role emphasizes compliance, staff development, and achievement of department targets, with a supportive home-office network and regular performance feedback.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified dispensing optician registered with the GOC.
• On track to meet CPD points requirement.
• Proven leadership skills in a fast-paced optics environment.
• Able to coach and develop a team.
• Organised with good time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the optical operation, including the team of Optometrists and Optical assistants.
• Ensure compliance processes and procedures are followed.
• Review sales forecasting and department targets.
• Handle daily customer queries and provide high-quality patient care.
• Coach and develop the team to meet performance goals.
