Job summary

Asda Stores Ltd is seeking an Optical Manager in Mansfield to lead our in-store optical team. This part-time, permanent role with 27 hours per week requires strong leadership, patient-focused service and operational oversight of the optical department.

You will manage optometrists and optical assistants, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive service standards while coordinating with Home Office teams for support and regular performance updates.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified dispensing optician registered with the GOC.
• On track to meet CPD points requirements.
• Proven leadership and coaching ability with strong customer care.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the entire optical department.
• Lead and coach Optometrists and Optical assistants.
• Ensure compliance, forecast sales, and meet targets.
• Address customer queries and maintain service standards.
• Collaborate with Home Office and Area Managers for support.
