Job summary

Superdrug Dorchester is hiring a part-time Trainee Pharmacy Assistant/Dispenser. You will join our pharmacy team with 16 hours weekly over two days, Tue/Thu in Week 1 and Tue/Sat in Week 2. Pay starts at £13.80/hr for Dispenser or up to £13.00/hr for a Trainee.

We support development from NVQ Level 2 or equivalent and welcome all who are passionate about healthcare and service. Join a busy team across pharmacy counter and dispensary, with opportunities to train in additional services.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Dispensing or equivalent is acceptable.
• No prior experience required; passion for healthcare and customer service is valued.

Responsibilities

• Support the pharmacy team with counter sales and stock replenishment.
• Deliver excellent service across the pharmacy counter and dispensary.
• Ensure customers and patients are served with care, efficiency and professionalism.
• Maintain high standards of presentation and merchandising.

We welcome applications from qualified Dispensers and those with no pharmacy experience who are eager to begin their career as a Trainee Pharmacy Assistant.

Location: Dorchester

Hours: 16 hours per week over 2 days. Week 1 Tuesdays and Thursdays and Week 2 Tuesdays and Saturdays.

Salary: £13.80 per hour (Dispenser) / Up to £13.00 per hour depending on age (Trainee pharmacy assistant)

What You’ll Be Doing

• Supporting the pharmacy team with counter sales and stock replenishment

We’re Looking For

• Either NVQ Level 2 in Dispensing (or equivalent) OR a keen interest in healthcare to begin your pharmacy career with us as a trainee pharmacy assistant.
• No prior experience required – just a passion for healthcare and customer service
• A friendly, positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to work well in a team or independently
• Confidence to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Passionate about learning and open to training in additional services
