About the opportunity

As a Dispenser working within one of our stores, you will be a key member of our pharmacy team, supporting the pharmacist and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of pharmacy and healthcare services.

In the healthcare department of the store, you will build great relationships with patients by listening and understanding their needs. Your responsibilities include greeting customers, dispensing prescriptions, ensuring the safe sale of medicines, and providing advice using your healthcare knowledge to support patients in making informed health decisions. You will make a difference every day.

  2. Collaborate with healthcare professionals in your store to assist in managing and delivering pharmacy services.
  3. Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist as appropriate.
  4. Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to support the safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
  5. Keep up to date with new innovations and comply with operational processes.
  6. Support patients in managing their prescriptions and medicines effectively to promote adherence and reduce waste.

Working with evolving technologies, you will have the opportunity to work with new systems to improve dispensing processes, enhance patient safety, and free up your time to spend more with patients.

You will receive regular updates and training to develop your healthcare knowledge, with career development options including training as a Pharmacy Technician or store leadership roles.

  • Completed the Pharmacy Advisor qualification NVQ2 (or equivalent).

It would be great if you also have:

  • Experience working in community pharmacy.
