Job summary

Mowbray House Surgery and Hutton Rudby Surgery are seeking a Dispenser to join the dispensary team on a part-time basis, covering 8:30am-12:00 on Saturdays on a 1 in 4 rota. Main hours include Mon 9am-3pm, Tue 2pm-6pm, Wed 8am-1:30pm, Fri 9am-5:30pm across two sites.

Role involves processing prescriptions and friendly patient service. Ideal candidates will have NVQ Level 2 in Dispensing (or equivalent), good numeracy/literacy, and experience in a primary care environment; driving licence

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Dispensing (or equivalent).
• Good numeracy and literacy skills.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience in a dispensary, pharmacy, or healthcare environment.
• Experience handling confidential patient information.
• Experience of working in a primary care environment.
• Previous experience in a GP practice dispensary.
• Full driving licence with access to a vehicle.

Job summary We have an exciting opportunity to recruit an enthusiastic Dispenser to join our dedicated Dispensary team at Mowbray House Surgery and Hutton Rudby Surgery.

This is a part-time roll to include Saturday working (1 in 4 on a rota basis, covering 8:30am - 12 noon).

The main hours are:

Monday 9am-3pm, Tuesday 2pm - 6pm at Mowbray House Surgery.

Wednesday 8am - 1.30pm, Friday 9am - 5.30pm at Hutton Rudby Surgery.

You will assist to process all relevant prescriptions as authorised by GP's and prescribing nurses where appropriate, in accordance with the principle of good practice.

Projecting a positive and friendly image to dispensary patients and other visitors, dealing with queries in a professional, courteous and efficient way.

Main duties of the job The successful candidate will be part of a large surgery dispensing team. Having excellent communication, organisational, teamworking skills.

Experience of general practice and Systmone would be an advantage, along with NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Pharmacy Services / Dispensing or relevant experience.
