Job summary

LGC is seeking a reliable, organised Despatch Operative to join our busy operations team in Bromborough. You will ensure orders are picked, packed, labelled, and shipped accurately, acting as the final touchpoint before products reach customers.

This role involves stock receipt, data entry, courier bookings, IATA/ADG packing after training, and working to tight dispatch deadlines while maintaining high accuracy and a safe workspace.

Qualifications

• GCSE-level education (or equivalent).
• Good numerical and literacy skills.
• Basic IT skills and confidence using IT systems.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Accurately pick products from warehouse locations to fulfil customer orders.
• Print shipping labels, courier documentation, and associated paperwork.
• Label, package, and prepare products for dispatch in line with company procedures.
• Book shipments with a variety of courier providers and ensure all dispatch information is correctly recorded.
• Complete basic administrative duties, including updating records and maintaining accurate documentation.
• Receive incoming stock deliveries and accurately book stock onto company systems.
• Ensure all orders are processed and dispatched within agreed timelines.
• Maintain high standards of accuracy and attention to detail when handling products and documentation.
• Follow company Health & Safety procedures and maintain a safe, clean, and organised working environment.
• Support the wider operations team with general warehouse and logistics activities as required.
• Undertake IATA and ADG Dangerous Goods packing activities following completion of accredited training provided by an external training provider.
