Job summary

Propelis is seeking a Despatch Operative in Salford to manage packing, despatch, and courier/inbound processes across SGX brands. You will work with in-house systems and external couriers, ensuring accurate labeling, efficient workflows and timely deliveries.

The role requires physical handling, teamwork, and good computer skills. Training may be provided for an FLT licence; initial hours are 10am–6pm with potential shift changes to 6:30am–2:30pm or later depending on workload.

Qualifications

• Heavy lifting and manual handling required.
• Ability to work as part of a small team while remaining self-motivated.
• Good computer skills are required.
• FLT licence advantageous but training will be given.

Responsibilities

• Pack all final delivery goods with the correct label and address.
• Work with SGK’s system and various shipping company systems.
• Despatch jobs using cost-effective, reliable methods.
• Demonstrate good communication, commitment, enthusiasm and flexibility.
• Work quickly and accurately under pressure.
• Control cardboard and wood recycling in the yard.
• Keep a clean and tidy working environment.
• Take in deliveries and stock deliveries to correct places.
• Use company vehicles to deliver or collect locally (UK driving licence required).
