An exciting opportunity has arisen to join us as a Disclosure & Barring Service Team Leader in the Information Management and Compliance Professional Standards Department.

What you will be doing
  1. Support the Disclosure and Barring Service Manager through organization, supervision, training, and development of staff within the Disclosure and Barring Unit (DBU).
  2. Provide tactical and operational guidance across the nationally agreed quality assurance framework (QAF) process specific to the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
  3. Assess and process enhanced disclosure applications in accordance with regulatory, statutory, and procedural requirements.
  4. Ensure the timely processing of disclosure requests related to Barring in line with legislation and the Memorandum of Understanding.
  5. Manage personnel, customer service, and application/request processing, providing leadership and guidance across the business area.
  6. Adhere to legislative and procedural requirements, monitor, and quality assure staff submissions, focusing on safeguarding guidelines of Dyfed Powys Police and the DBS.
