An established industry player is seeking a dedicated individual to enhance the well-being of residents through effective housing strategies. This role involves implementing the Council's policies on Disabled Facilities Grants, ensuring necessary adaptations to homes, and providing expert housing advice. Main Responsibilities:
To provide services to meet the requirements of the Council’s Housing Strategy and Private Sector Housing policies in order to improve the well-being of residents and protection of the environment. In particular, to develop and implement the Council’s strategic and operational activities associated with Disabled Facilities Grants, assessing and delivering appropriate adaptations to residents' homes.
Reporting to the Principal Environmental Health Officer (Housing), you will carry out all technical and other functions relating to private sector housing advice, enforcement and assistance, public health work, as well as other specific responsibilities as outlined in the role profile.

This post is career graded with a move to a higher salary band upon training, experience, and assessment of competences. Band 3 salary: £30,238 - £32,769. Band 4 salary: £33,854 - £36,638.
We are open to applications from persons with relevant skills who can demonstrate a good ability to learn and expand their knowledge and capabilities. Training will be provided if needed, for example, 'Trusted Assessor' and 'Housing, Health and Safety Rating System'.
