Job Overview

This role involves developing and implementing activities related to Disabled Facilities Grants, assessing and delivering appropriate adaptations to residents' homes, to meet the Council’s Housing Strategy and Private Sector Housing policies, aiming to improve residents' wellbeing and protect the environment.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide services aligned with the Council’s Housing Strategy and Private Sector Housing policies.
  • Assess and deliver adaptations to residents' homes under Disabled Facilities Grants.
  • Report to the Principal Environmental Health Officer (Housing) and carry out functions related to private sector housing advice, enforcement, and assistance.
  • Work with relevant policy documents such as the Wyre Forest District Council Housing Assistance Policy and Housing Enforcement Policy.
Additional Details
  • Require a suitable vehicle for the role.
  • Career progression from Band 3 (£30,238 - £32,769) to Band 4 (£33,854 - £36,638) based on training, experience, and assessment.
  • Open to candidates with relevant skills and a willingness to learn; training provided if needed.
  • Flexibility to work outside normal hours, including evenings, and to work outside the office as needed.
  • Role involves physical effort and mobility.
  • Hybrid working model with at least 2 days in the office weekly.
