Job summary

Kent County Council in Whitstable is seeking a full-time Social Worker for the Disabled Children's Team East. You will work with Senior Practitioners, Social Workers, and other professionals to support children with severe disabilities, handling cases through the care pathway from assessment to permanence.

You will engage with children, families and carers, produce clear written records, and participate in supervision and development opportunities within a confidential, professional environment.

Qualifications

• A high standard of written English and report writing ability.
• Excellent organisational, communication and IT skills.
• Ability to engage with children, young people, families and carers with integrity.

Responsibilities

• Carry a caseload of children in need, children in care and, if experienced, child protection cases.
• Work within a care pathway approach from assessment through to permanence.
• Produce accurate written records and maintain confidentiality.
• Collaborate with Health, Education and voluntary sector partners.
