Job summary

Connect2Kent is recruiting on behalf of Kent County Council to hire qualified social workers for the Dover and Deal Children’s Social Work Team. The role involves managing complex caseloads, safeguarding children, and contributing to professional practice within the team.

You will supervise students/ASYE, attend court as needed, and help develop new practice initiatives while keeping up-to-date with relevant legislation and policy changes.

Qualifications

• Qualified and passionate Social Worker with registration and practice experience.
• Ability to work within a local authority safeguarding framework.
• Strong collaboration and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of complex cases involving assessment, planning and implementation to safeguard and promote welfare of children and families.
• Provide leadership, supervision and expert advice to less experienced staff and students/ASYE.
• Attend court and contribute to high-profile and sensitive cases to support the team.
